About KDTC

History

Founded in January 1975 and accredited by the American Kennel Club in June 1978, the Kalamazoo Dog Training Club (KDTC) has grown from fewer than 12 members to more than 70.

A not for profit organization, KDTC continues to meet its purposes by conducting dog training classes that include agility, dog tricks and conformation; educating and encouraging the public to practice responsible dog ownership; and promoting cooperation and good sportsmanship among member in the training and exhibiting of dogs.

Meetings

Meetings are held the first Monday every month (except December and July) at 7:00 pm (board meeting 6:15) at the Toy Box, 6741 S. Sprinkle Road, Portage, MI, Members of the public who support the purposes and aims of KDTC are welcome to attend.

In December, we hold a Christmas party at the home of one of our members. In July, we have a picnic at a local park with dog games and lots of great potluck food.
