WE'VE MOVED! NEW LOCATION!
After many happy years at the Michigan Dog Center, the building was sold and we had to find a new location to hold classes. We think everyone will like The Puppy Playground located west of Galesburg and off E. Michigan Ave (M96). Same great classes, same great instructors, generous inside matted space, and handy parking.
About The History of Kalamazoo Dog Training Club
The Kalamazoo Dog Training Club (KDTC) was founded in January 1975 and was recognized by the American Kennel Club, the largest canine organization in the United States.in June 1978. The training club serves the greater Kalamazaoo area. Since its humble start, the dog training club has grown from less than 12 members to more than 50.

The Mission of KDTC
KDTC, a non-profit organization, continues to fulfill its mission by offering
1. Dog training classes such as
- Dog tricks
- Competitive Obedience
- Nosework
- Puppy
- Beginning classes
- Canine Good Citizen
- Rally
2. Educating and encouraging the public to practice responsible dog ownership; and
3. Promoting cooperation and good sportsmanship among members involved in dog training and exhibiting.

Monthly Meetings & Get-Togethers
Meetings are conducted on the first Monday of each month (board meeting at 6:00 PM, general member meeting at 7:00 PM) except in April, September, and December. Members of the public who support KDTC's goals and objectives are welcome to attend.
The club holds a Christmas party in December. In September, the club enjoys a picnic, complete with dog games and plenty of delicious potluck food. An awards banquet is held in April.
